Hmmmm. Most happy, inspiring, smile-inducing moment/event within the week...With two little ones mine come often and mostly appreciate by me. This morning Michael climbing into bed and gave his dad a peck on the cheak (not cheek Chip), Sophya is taking ballet classes - she often dresses up and does some spins in the middle of the floor.

Arrgggh scalawags! Pirates in San Pedro

The Black Pearl is docked in the harbor mateys.
Thought the "Pirates" fans (or Johnny Depp fans or Kiera Knightley fans) would be interested.
Not sure why its here since filming should be done-the movie is coming out next month.
Jim guessed it was there for a photo shoot or something.
We kayaked out to see it last summer when it was filming here...maybe we will have to go do some further investigating.

Now to my contribution: Chinping purchased a used car today. She got her dream car, a baby blue VW beetle convertible, for a very reasonable price. We will probably be making the transaction next week, so stay posted for a picture of the new car!

Here is a positive one for you all! NO GOOF ANSWERS PLEASE! So everyone, share the most happy, inspiring, smile-inducing moment/event that has happened to you in the past week. For me, it is that my brave, wonderful poppy had decided that on his 60th birthday he would no longer be a smoker!!! I am so proud of him. I know it won't be easy, but I am sure with his family's encouragement (and alot of those nicotine patches) he can achieve his goal. Yea Quentin 2-- you made my week!

In response: I have heard a few of Amy Winehouse's songs, interesting and could probably grow on me...I liked the "Rehab" song. In that vein and at the moment though my heart belongs to Lily Allen. We bought Casino Royale at Costco yesterday (no Blu-Ray there though Greg) and it is PERFECTION!
So in respect to Mark's recommendations, I have a question. Can we post music clips and/or images from DVD, CDs or is that illegal in this blogger world? Anyone know?

How I appreciate your outstanding idea, Matt!
If there is any purpose in our loss of grandpa, I hope it is the reminder that family is everything...whether it be blood, extended or just the friends that become family as we become so geographically spread out. Having this avenue for sharing and reconnecting with the Hargenrater's is perfection...thank you.
That said, I hope everyone participates or I will have to harass some people!

On a lighter note, I also wonder what pictures will appear...I want the one of Uncle Bob in the shorts and the fish to appear...pleeease! I am sure my pops will have his fair share of inappropriate zingers, but do not underestimate the girls. I think we will possibly shock a few of you...we can be equally inappropraite (and proud of it). Okay maybe not quite as bad as Q2.

I noticed Chinping's family posted videos... we will have to hear more about that.

Bob, post those vacation pictures, especially if there are any of you and a manatee. Also, it would be cool if people posted some pictures from when we were all together. I might post mine on shutterfly or such so others can get a copy if they want. I am sure we could post the links here.

It was very nice seeing everyone even during this sad time. I can't begin to say how important it was having all of us there for dad and each other. Thank-you... I hope everyone uses this BLOG...We just came back from Florida about an hour ago for Robbie's Sping break...I'll post a pic or two from that and I'll try and keep it PG...right now I'm going to bed...I'm bushed.
